I liked swings too...but the ride needed a boost and so we used to see how much of an arc we could get and then jump out of the seat and try to make it over the fence which corralled the swing area. I always made it over...a few friends didn't on occasion...funny stuff to watch them crash and howl. Fools...all of us
Oh what you do as children....and ... boys will be different!!In a good way ...of course!!!.It amazes me what they do today ...We were watching some boys on T.V... in America.. jumping off the top of buildings onto another and another...Have they no fear!!!...Must have been in New York!!..
This reminds me too of a tragic accident that happened. We were jumping from roof to roof at a construction site of single dwelling homes when one of the guys slipped and fell to the ground. Normally this would have hurt and maybe caused a broken bone of two. But this guy's back landed on a boulder and he was parallelized for life at the ripe age of 12 or so. But I see him from time to time still to this day and his disability hasn't stopped him from leading a productive and active life. He canoe's on the ocean each and everyday. Amazing person.
It's funny you should say about him leading a full life....I watch Marc Gosselin on D.A.He is a medical illustrator and does illustrations for newspapers etc..and has had parts in films and on tv .He was in a carcrash about 25 years ago and has no use in his body from the chest down! Some people are so strong aren't they?
